I hope so too. It would be awesome to see them get some big old whitetails!

Oldest daughter drew this one and the youngest drew the muzzy tag that starts on the 20th.  Probably do the first weekend and the last if needed then move on to the muzzy tag with my youngest.

We aren't looking for 200" deer though, just nice 4x4 whitetails.  More than anything looking forward to seeing a bunch of deer and spending family time in the woods with lower pressure.

They're white tails dude. No such thing as a 4X4. They are 8 pointers! :chuckle:
:chuckle:
Thanks for the heads up.  I'm not a whitetail guy but hopefully by the end of the season my girls will be.

Hopefully they'll be whitetail girls.

Right, whitetail girls.  I'm all messed up.  Really looking forward to these hunts.

Well, couple scouting trips in the books, a ton of help from HW members, couple of farmer phone calls and a good trailer spot in the heart of deer country, and I think I’m about as ready as can be.

Went and shot the rifle for final confirmation this weekend from 125-455 yards and didn’t miss.

My 7 year old son and I leave Thursday after some dentist appointments, and I’ll be in for a week.  My buddy will be meeting me Thursday night and staying until Sunday when he takes my son home.

I don’t have giant expectations, just a relaxing week chasing deer.  I’m really hoping for an opportunity while my son is there!

I’ve got service in most places so plan on some updates!

Heading over Thursday night.  Jessica only has a half day of school on Friday and no school Monday in observance of Veteran's Day.  My first 20 years out of the military I didn't get or take Veteran's day holiday off, always brought donuts to work for Veteran's day.  This will be my fourth Vetran's day off in a row and I will get to spend it with my 16 year old daughter.  Hoping she gets one but just going to enjoy the time in the woods with her.

Good luck to all the tag holders.

200"er shouldn't be a problem.

 Is this a elk hunt?

Only if you spell elk like: w-h-i-t-e-t-a-i-l.

I think this is a moose or wolf hunt
