Browning xbolt pro long range ?
« on: September 19, 2018, 04:09:42 PM »
I wanted  to see if any of you out there have one or have shot one and what your experience has been with them? I'm also looking at the hells canyon long range, both in 300wm. I currently own a couple abolt ii that I absolutely love in 270wsm and 338wm. Thanks in advance!

Buddy has an xbolt 300wsm thats sweet and I watched him one shot a 330 bull at 680 yd with it.   The hells Canyon in 300wm or 300wsm would would be at the top of my list of $1000 rifles.

I've shot a xbolt before but never the long range version with the heavy fluted sporter barrel and the better trigger. Trying to decide on whether its worth the extra cash to get the xbolt pro long range or if the hells canyon long range would be just as accurate/good.

More of a weight issue isnt it?  If not packing it heavier = better.

Thet are both 7lbs 8oz. At least that's what the website says. The pro long range has fluted bolt and bolt knob. It has full carbon fiber stock and a heavy fluted sporter barrel with some proprietary lapping process? Also the pro is stainless and the hells canyon long range is a blued rifle. Both are cerakote. Also the pro has a 1:8 twist barrel and the hells canyon has a 1:10
