Just got back from the range, very windy.I set the target at 25 yards fired 2 shots both centered and 3 inches high.Moved out to 50 and shot 5 shots, average about 7 inches high. how high should i be hitting at 25 yards to be on at 100.I sent a couple pm's and am also asking on this thread to get the most feedback.
not being smart but you got me thinking now. Been shooting this combo since the start of muzzy deer last year.have shot maybe 4 down the pipe, are you saying i should reduce before something bad happens?if yes what will the 30 grains do to my poi? since the season is running. thanks

If in a modern muzzle loader in good condition I would continue shooting it if that is what your gun likes and shoots well. Do what you want if you reduce...but your not being unsafe especially if your gun is rated for it. You cannot find nor get any gun/powder manufacturer to scientifically or with actual provide pressure numbers to justify their basis for a maximum load. I have tried and they just flat will not provide the information. I believe it exists but for some reason it is not public information.
