Youth elk special permit question

Going to get my boy out hunting next year and would like to start putting in for special permits for him. Any suggestions? I've hunted elk in several areas, however, most are too rugged for a 7 year old. Thanks.

Can you put them in for the mudflow youth tags

Pretty much any of the youth elk permits that don't have the same season as the general season are good hunts to consider for a young hunter.

Mud flow is available in November for youth, any bull and antler less. Not familiar with the area, but as long as it's not straight up and down we'll work it out
