West side Bugles!
« on: October 02, 2018, 02:50:27 PM »
Been hearing some bugles out here on the West Side the last few days! Nice to hear them still talking right before muzzleloader season. Anyone else been hearing anything?

Are they still not talking up in the hills or maybe they are all finished?  :dunno:
I have not heard a single bugle yet this year. Only been up a few times scouting so....

i just don't get when people say "they aren't bugling in Washington" or something along those lines... in general they are bugling. they have been bugling! i have been in 4 different areas of western Washington from the weekend before labor day until this past weekend and bulls have been bugling every where i go that i know that they hang out. Either your not in the right place or the elk are turned off by pressure at that time but are definatly bugling at other times when they feel comfortable like at day light and after dark.

Heard some last week, and I've heard them into October in past years too.
