Awesome.   I sure wish theyd rethink the zero final total.   You have a population that is doing incredible, use it to continue to seed.   keep it low enough so not to damage the fauna.  Oh well, just ramblings.   In my lifetime I've seen many places that held goats, be void of them now.   I guess its inevitable that they disappear.  Its sorta ironic they are a nuisance exotic someplace else.

Just got word a person saw one of the relocated goats between Oso and Trafton not to far from highway 530. The goat looked pretty boney from the picture I saw, of course I'm sure they're pretty stressed out right now for obvious reasons  >:(

Glad they're getting a foothold.  I hope they're able to establish patterns and find some food and shelter before winter rolls in...

Did they put them in Boulder River? I didn't pay much attention, I thought they were headed for Mt. Baker.

I thought they were putting them near Glacier Peak  :dunno:

Either way, sounds like this one didn't like its new home  :bash:

There are a lot of goats up Boulder River. There is a goat hunt up there. They did also relocate some goats to the outside Darrington area.

The goats were released in multiple locations.

I’m no zoologists, but I’m guessing transplanted big game animals wonder a bit figuring out the lay of the land before settling on an area. :twocents:

Probably a Boulder drop, but where it was spotted is nowhere near there and even further from Darrington.

I know they were dropping them in near Barlow Pass on Mt Loop.  Wife watched the chopper with the  crate while on a hike.

There have been goats up there and on Mount Si and Mount Washington forever. Not very many but a few here and there. Who knows, this might be a new resident of the area.
