I haven't owned one but I did run one quite a bit before I bought my G20.   

I was testing to see how fast I could get follow up shots off, fire one handed, single off hand rapid fire, draw and fire 2 shots, moving drills etc etc. 

It's a fun gun, I opted for the G20, but wouldn't criticize anyone for packing that around. 
All I can say is I hope they practice a lot off the bench in real world scenarios, but the same is true with all handguns.

edit:  Oh I see it's scoped, never mind, it's not a self defensive weapon.
