Wife's First Buck!
« on: October 15, 2018, 08:18:08 AM »
On Sunday morning I Spotted his white butt 300 yards across from where we were sitting on the other hill. He was 3/4ths up the ridge and just about to bed down, but wasn’t sure If he was going to go up and over the ridge, so I had her grab the essentials and start hiking up! We are lucky enough to have cell signal where we were, so I was able to communicate with her through the stock when needed. She got to a very comfortable 80 yards before deciding to sit and wait it out, but that didn’t last long as he stood straight up looking at her as soon as she got comfortable behind a deadfall log! I tell her he’s up! He’s up! And then 10 seconds later I watch him drop dead in his tracks and then hear the boom of the .270... blew left shoulder and right through the lungs. Couldn’t be more proud of her!
