Using game cam when hunting

Is it illegal to use a game cam that is capable of sending your phone or email an image when you camera snaps a picture, while hunting ?  I'm starting to come across more of these cameras in the woods since a lot of the area has cell service.

The more I read up on this topic the more I am looking forward to laws banning cell phone enabled cams. I don't mind "dumb" cams (IE: You have to hike in and check them manually) but this cell enabled stuff definitely feels less "fair chase" to me.

Perfectly legal and if you guys fully understood the actual advantages and limitations you would be less worried about them.  Of course if you do the fantasy what ifs, then ya sure they are totally unethical and makes hunting a sure thing.  I've had one for 4 years now and have yet to actually kill an animal that's been on my camera.  What it has done is save me a bunch of gas and time.  For those kicking around the idea of buying one, one of the big limitations is the cellphone companies are phasing out 3Gs now and I already see 5Gs being touted. so it's only a matter of time before your 4G camera is nothing more than an expensive regular trail camera.  My 3G camera will only send photos up until Dec 2019, then it will be a regular trail camera.  But it has more than paid for itself in gas money saved.

They'd be handy here to go to the other stand that has the deer in front of it... if we had decent cell signals.   :chuckle:
