marble mounts
« on: March 19, 2009, 10:39:03 PM »
These are a few mounts that I have made. The first is a wall mount, second and third are table mounts.

Andrew: I made the wall mount for under $20.00 and 2 hours labor. I'm a Tile Setter by trade, so I've had this Idea for years and with my time off I finally built a few.

Firecrotch: My Ex liked it.

What would you charge to make them???  Those are awesome, and would fit almost any decor for the little woman.

Huntbear: I have only sold one table mount with the square base on EBay for $40.00. Shipping to New Mexico was $19.25. I am currently in Alaska working. So I am not making or selling any at this time. Sorry.

I want to make one for my dad. He shot a 6' 10" cougar this year and is having the skull professionally done by Fidalgo Taxidermy. I think it would look cool on top of one of these mounts. I would have to change the head plate size and shape but that's easy.

I like it, great work.  How do you attached the two /+ pieces together for the wall mount?

HardCorp: I use a two part epoxy, then I use a colored Latex caulk around the base and head plate to clean up the look.

Bucklucky: I'll keep you in mind once I am able to make some more.

OK wanted to remind people to check out the auction for Jesse.  Here are a few more pictures of a mount I made. This is not the one up for auction but its similar.
