I don't want to put up any pens, I have seen how much work it is.   ;)  I'll leave that to you.  My buddy in Wilson Creek raised birds for years.  The goldens were downright mean.  Those poor hens didn't have many feathers left on them after breeding season, even with a board to run beneath.  They sure are beautful though.
Dreams are forever on the mind, realization in the hands.

Thanks!   Lots of cool sounds around my house in the Spring.  I've probably got another dozen or so species.

Bone, how difficult would they be to raise in a more urban local? I always wanted to do this but to be honest I have not looked into the logistics much.

The Red and Yellow Goldens and Amherst work the best in small quarters.  They don't have obnoxious noises, so don't attract attention from the neighbors.  People house them in a 4x4 pens with limited success.  Obviously the bigger the pens the better.  I'll get pics of the Yellows and Amherst on here.  The amherst can be a bit more nervous than the GOldens.  I think the Yellow goldens are the kindest birds.  I have some that follow me around like a pet dog outside, and they stay even.

Go to this link.  Its the Golden pheasant page on  my website.  You can see their different pics.  It would be easier than copying all the pics over.

Those are beautiful birds.  Is the one with purple "eyes" a pheasant, too?
