Dutch Oven Liners?
« on: October 24, 2018, 08:31:39 PM »
I was st Sportsman’s Warehouse and saw some Dutch oven liners. Hey seem to be made just like those disposable pie tins. I’m thinking of getting some for hunting camp next week with the goal of saving a lot of time & hassle cleaning the Dutch oven every day, especially on lasagna day. Do they do a good job of keeping the cast iron clean, and are they worth the price tag?

cub scouts/boy scouts line them with foil all the time.
we do cakes, dinners, etc.

I am not in charge, but I watch them multiple times per year.  works fine.  very little clean up.  sometimes hard to get the food off  the area closest to the foil.

A lot cheaper to make your own Dutch Oven Liners out of Parchment paper.
Cleanup is a breeze and the food still tastes the same, (so If you are a lousy cook like me you're out of luck!) :o

That’s a cool trick.  I’m going to remember that for my trip next week.
