Caught this guy on a late night visit to the apple trees.  I'm pretty sure that he is the same buck that I posted in Nov- Dec 2017 (2016?), back when he was a fawn who's buttons got hard horned in late fall with two small spikes on his right side.  He spent many mornings bedded under the apple trees until the food and leaves were all gone.  He was the only double main beam beam buck I've ever had on cam, and he never showed himself since.  I'm wondering if this is one of those rare occasions when a buck makes an excursion back "home", perhaps to see mom, after disbursing to a different area/territory.  If so, I'd be surprised if he shows up again this year.

Pretty cool looking dude now.  4 X 2 from what I can tell.  He might be a monster in a few more years.

Buck that identifies as a doe? Looks like a doe but hangs out with the bucks and it looks like he/she has some danglies.
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies

Cool four-point.  I'm always amazed at the variability in antler size of mature bucks.

This dude's been hanging around.  Two captures in one week.  I tried moving camera angles in case he came back, and he went the other way.  He doesn't seem to care at all about apples.  He walks right by the trees like he's just surveying the territory.  Seems to be a lot of bucks showing themselves this year.  It will be interesting to see if they disappear in a week or so, after the velvet comes off.  (edit - now that I look at the pics from two different dates side by side, I'm not 100% sure that is the same buck).

Going through all the pics from that set I was able to identify 5 different bucks for sure.  Mix of velvet and hard horned.
