Placed a camera in a new area and got these two on here after a two week soak, there’s also a spike in the area, he walked up on me 10 yards away after I check this camera and sat on a stump, but passed on him since he was about the size of my dog. Have another camera about 600 yards away that has 3 other deer on it also

new spot that looked questionable, pics weren't questionable.

Nice bucks in those last pics.
I've been striking out all Spring and early Summer with my cams.  Lots of deer coming and going, but dead batteries and other issues left me without any good pics.  Caught a decent 4X4 in silhouette, but the only shot I have of that one doesn't do the deer justice.

Here's a just a hint of a backyard buck sporting this rack from a couple of days ago.  He was just outside of frame for 20 seconds, then disappeared.
Hoping to see more of this camera shy buck in the future:

Whidbey Island Blacktail.

Gary
One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted. If one were to present the sportsman with the death of the animal as a gift he would refuse it. What he is after is having to win it, to conquer the surly brute through his own effort and skill with all the extras that this carries with it: the immersion in the countryside, the healthfulness of the exercise, the distraction from his job. ~ Jose Ortega y Gasset

A couple better shots of the 5 point.  Five on the left side, four on the left, though one of those looks like a sticker.  Interesting deer but not much of a trophy this year.  Next year......?
