Has Any one had good luck this year? Most people I'm talking to are saying they haven't seen any big bucks. I fly out tomorrow hope it's better than my friend's are letting on.

Seen a handful of nice deer. When we checked our deer at a check station a couple weeks ago there were more than a couple nice bucks that we also saw. Wardens said they'd had quite a few bucks come through.
Heading back out this weekend to try and get my fiance her first deer.

Haven't heard a whole lot of recent reports but weather is getting colder over there and rut is gonna be kicking in. Small bucks already are, mature bucks are about a week away. Headed over on the 9th myself.

I just got back from central MT. It dropped down to 7 degrees Wed/Thurs. Chase phase is on. I saw several nice bucks and one toad chasing a doe but she waned nothing to do with him.
Good luck!

In eastern MT as we speak. It’s horrible....and I’m serious. The rut is NOT on. Windy and snowing last three days. Seen only does on public land. One bruiser buck yesterday am on private. I have a mulie doe tag as well. Usually they are a dime a dozen, but you can barely fine one of those. This is the worse year i’ve hunted here. This is not that much better than WA hunting🤷🏻♂️ Still have three days left, so we’ll see what happens. The water is heating up for the expensive tag soup.

Expensive tag soup for me. Decided to pull out a day early and head for home. Saw a few decent bucks but the plan never came together. Good luck to everybody.

Just got back from Central MT and have to say it was pre rut. tagged out on 3 bucks in a day but it was the little guys chasing the does. 2 buddies took 2 smaller bucks for their first with some does and i got a decent 3x5 all by himself no does anywhere nearby but he was definitely swollen and stinky

On our way back from eastern Montana right now. Father in law and I both tagged out on 4x4’s and 2 does each. My buck was as rutty as they come chasing 2 smaller bucks and keeping a hot doe right where he wanted her. My father in laws was chasing does but not near as “rutty” here’s a few pics of mine
