Nice! More cats seem to be biting the dust this year.
Probably because there are tooo blasted many of them due to lack of pressure from hounds to keep the number in check.

Thanks guys, this was a female not the biggest cat I’ve killed but still not to bad she was right around 90 to 100 lbs. just happy to remove her and future litters from the area. Neither one of the cats had any idea I was in the clear cut until I pulled the trigger. The one that was with her ran straight up to my dad however he had just set his rifle down to strap on his back pack and had no opportunity to shoot when he reached for his rifle she turned and ran into the timber finding another gear.  My cousin ended up shooting a smaller one the next day back up in the same area.

I've always wondered...how is the cougar meat on the dinner table?


saw a few the past 2 years, more than in my 51 years of hunting the woods. Passed on taking one, even with combo license, tag in wallet.
 But wouldn't want to kill one unless good on the dinner table.
