Hunting commando
« on: November 05, 2018, 07:06:31 AM »
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

My brothers and boys and I were out on the snake river on Sat. to go on a bird hunt. We use an anchor and a bungie cord setup to keep the boat off the shore. My older boy didn't quite hook it up right so when he threw it in the water we lost the whole setup.
After 20 minutes of trying everything we could to fish it out of 12' of water I decided it was time to be done with the whole thing. So I dove in and fished it out. I gotta admit it wasn't half as bad as I thought it was going to be. :tung:

I never thought of bringing an extra pair of undies so the only issue was going commando :chuckle:
Lead em if they're running.

:o.   How many shots of whiskey did that take.   Man, I’ve never volunteered to be in the water this time of year.  I can say I’ve done it involuntary.  :chuckle:

I shot my gun one time and connected with a hun. My boys each went through a box of shells and never hit a bird. My brother was puppy training. You better believe we were giving the kids a hard time  ;)
I jumped in the river for this????? :chuckle:

I've been on that hunt before...  Wouldn't trade it for the world - after I got home, dry and fed.  Second kind of fun.
