Would you shoot?
« on: November 05, 2018, 08:54:46 AM »
I'm thinking I'll let him grow another year, what do you think?  This is in Idaho.  My season starts on Saturday for Whitetails.

Depends if you are looking for meat or antlers.  I would shoot that one in a heartbeat.

Antlers make nice decorations, size doesn't matter to me.  Body looks average, unless you are seeing a buck with more body mass.....Shoot it   :hunter:

Pass, come another week you’ll encounter multiple just like him.  2.5 year olds run around reckless come rut time.  Good luck no matter what you choose to do!  Good looking, classic whitetail country it appears

I have a difficult time passing up a legal back.  I am also not a horn hunter, I am hunting for table eats!
Cut em!

Very little pressure and I am certain there is some much bigger boys running around.  I have 2 full weeks off, so unless we get down to the last day or two, I'll be passing on him and looking forward to seeing him in a year or two.  :)  Thanks!!

Good plan!
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.
