Cali complient AR with all the bells and whistles
« on: January 23, 2019, 09:32:43 AM »
I've found this to be the most unique take on a solution to all this gun tomfoolery.

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Looks like they are out right now, but for $80 a drop in bolt action conversion looks like a pretty good workaround to me!

Thought this was a good idea, faster than the bolt style yet no longer a semi-auto..

I HATE compliant parts. No one should be complying with those stupid laws. Its the typical cycle I see over and over again, new gun law passed, everyone gets mad, new complaint part comes out, everyone gets quiet again till the next time.

Maybe if companies stopped making these parts people might actually do something. I wish everyone in California would just "fix" their ARs back to as they should be and start brining in 30rd mags and pass them out on street corners.

Up until now it has either been reverse the gas block and use the charging handle or do the same and  modify for a charging handle. the best part about this work around is its price, and since it becomes a bolt action it means that the antis would have to start making laws against bolt guns, which everyone owns. all of the other Cali work arounds were so that you could keep your semi auto. Change the make designation and all of a sudden the pool got a lot bigger. what are they going to do ban mag fed bolt actions?

You likely will have the opportunity to do that in Washington after the November ballots are counted.

One good thing to come out of cali is we see what happens when we comply. they never stop they just pass another and another and another law. Not happening. We're not California

You are right, we aren't California.  I don't believe they have a full AWB on the ballot this year.  Given the past outcomes of WA gun initiatives, we have a very good likelihood at leaping right past Cali.

WA is probably the perfect state to pursue this line of legislation, we have a wide open initiative process, proven record of 60% "for" votes as well as a supportive governor, AG and both houses who will lobby for it, a host of deep pockets to write six and seven figure checks along with a disorganized and poorly funded opposition.

Yea I've been wondering when something like that would come on the market. Always made more sense to go single shot than make one of those awful looking Cal compliant semi-autos.

I still find the whole thing to be insulting to freedom and the 2A.

Not an AR but Kel Tec has some pretty innovative gear.

I like the innovation here. Not semi automatic but double action rifle. It's 49 state compliant guess which state they're waiting on. Obviously this wouldn't be ideal but it might be something to build on.
