Smoked Steelhead and What ?
« on: November 06, 2018, 04:17:53 PM »
Was looking in the fridge for a snack today and noticed a small container of left over creamy Horseradish sauce brought home from a restaurant. What to dip in it I wondered ? Then I saw my last pack of smoked Steel head, you know, the smallest pieces that seem to get stiff, kind of like jerky ? I'll eat that instead.
For S&G's I dipped a piece of fish into the sauce ( just a little dab ) and WOW ! I like it !!
Is this a weird combination ? The texture was right, The smoke was right, The brown sugar vs. the Horseradish sauce worked for an addictive combination and I ate the whole pack.
Any other combinations out there ?

Doesn't sound like an odd combination to me. in fact it sounds delicious! mmoked salmon and horseradish - sushi and wasabi, same idea.

For Saturday's dinner i made smoked salmon Alfredo over pasta - it turned out really good
Smoked salmon is just as good as smoked steelhead when you don't have any smoked steelhead
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies

In November U.S. manufacturing contracted for the the ninth consecutive month. Layoffs across the economy are higher than anytime since the pandemic in 2020 and I just read that the Midwest farmers will be receiving a 12B bailout due to 50 year trade relationships being destroyed. I have to admit that I was a sceptic and didn't believe in the effectiveness in tariffs but I'm a believer now.
