Two bucks my daughter shot in the Yakima area.  One was general, the big 2 with eye guards.  The other was on a landowner any buck permit.  The slick 2 is confirmed 4.5 years old.  Never legal in a 3 point minimum unit.

Closest to qualifying as I have. Main frame 2 point with a 1.5 inch eye guard. Tried posting this on a different topic once but I pulled it down to a few individuals not thinking he was worthy of shooting. Big bodied buck. 100 percent legal in a 3 point minimum area. Got to watch and confirm through 60 power spotting scope at 200 yards for a long period before taking the shot. Great experience and when quartering and making multiple trips had several cougars below kill site calling out within 200 to 300 yards below after dark while tending to the deer.  My best guess would be 3.5 yr old buck.

I absolutely love big 2 point mule deer bucks. The kind that are old and will never be more. Just like I love big 5 point mature elk over 300 inches that will never be 6 points.  If I find a big 2 point I will hunt him hard if I can. Very unique and pretty rare too. They have their own character about them. I have harvested three of them over the years.  26 inch wide, 24 inch wide, and 23 inch wide.  They are true trophies for me and I love them like my big 4 points.

I had a chance this year in the late season at an older 2x2 with no eye guards, but he had a big sticker coming out of his base long enough to be a legal point. He’s definitely 3.5 years old at the bare minimum. It’s possible he won’t be legal next year if he doesn’t grow another sticker.

Was maybe thinking a side off the buck huntnphool posted in the snow?  Around the same time frame but who knows.  Next to a smaller four point and a 75-80” four.  Love this thread.

Not a muley but a old blacktail buck that's possibly still walking.

Thoughts on age for this deer? I was thinking maybe 4.5.
