Could someone explain why 1639 threads from this morning were deleted?

They were combined into 1 thread in the political section.

I think they were combined and moved to Off-Topics, which is an opt-in board, you can set to select in your profile.

I concur. They were definitely not deleted.

Long story short, they were merged into one thread.   Do not agree with this but a mod thought they were doing the right thing.   They didn’t realize we were discussing it behind the scenes before they took action.   I’m not sure what the outcome will be.

Is the mod a yes on 1639?  Didn't like hearing about a bad vote?   :dunno:

They should have been merged, no need for 3 threads on the exact same topic.  Since they are off topic now, I can't see them which is probably a good thing.

I doubt that.  I think they thought they were doing good for the site.

I did it, and said so in the thread when I did it.  I had posts going in 4 different I-1639 threads and felt that one thread would flow better.

I'll put it in advocacy instead of off topics.

and no, I don't like this law  :bash:
