Ruger LCP 38O
« on: March 23, 2009, 08:32:12 PM »
I just picked up my new Ruger on Saturday and shot through a 1/2 box and am quite pleased with it.  I like its size, for summertime concealment and the price was right.  Does anyone else have one yet?

I picked up two a few months ago for $289 each, each with two mags--post recall versions.

Zero malfuctions with all ammo tried (about 7 types, including corbon and gold dot HP's), and I can put size shots into a <4" group at 15yds consistently.

Couldn't ask for anything better...size, weight, recoil...all very manageable.

My brother in law and one of my buddies both bought one at the same time (insider info...hehe). They will both say the same. My buddy also has the crimson trace laser...pretty trick, though it is a bit bulky IMHO.
It does work well, though.
I left it better than I found it...did you?

I don't doubt that one bit. In fact, any .380 is hard to find.
I've been buying brass and bullets like crazy for my .380's.

Kesselrings gun shop in skagit co has Gold Dots in stock, and has for some time...but to be honest, the only defense ammo I'd carry in .380 is corbon--specifically corbon DPX. I'm not impressed with gold-dots in .380, and hydrashoks do not perform  consistently (and deform and separate).

Mail-order is just about the only option, it seems.  :(
