Thanks so much for all the great comments from so many great people on this site. It sounds like all of you are just as jacked up as I am when it comes to women and kids out hunting.
Deer Skin on this site asked for some pics of her 2008 desert buck. They say the camera adds 10 years, but this time it subtracted. Go figure!

Congrats.  Great deer (both)  You sure make a lot of us envious.  I also have had the Desert twice.  First time was my first yr bow hunting.  Back when it was good and the season was last couple weeks of Nov.  Of course being my first yr with a bow, I was a bumbling idiot out there.  Not a clue and kept bumping NICE deer.  Did end up 35 yds from a small forkie on my last day and made a good shot.  The 2nd time I had the tag the season had changed to what it is now.   I ate that tag, mostly due to the 10 inches of frozen snow that stayed the whole time I was hunting and it was near impossible to get within 100 yds without them staring at me.  I know longer bow hunt due to bad shoulders, so I don't have a dog in the bow game.  But I sure think the bow guys take it in the shorts with the season they get in the Desert now.  Why would they put the bow guys in last after everyone else gets a crack and then make it for the most part after the true rut.

Congratulations on a great deer. Probably the best one I’ve seen taken in state so far this year. I’d love to have those two deer hanging side by side on my wall!
