Idaho Fish and Game: Charges filed against suspect in moose poaching case

KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho -
The Idaho Department of Fish and Game says a suspect has been identified and charges have been filed in a case of moose poaching near the Bonner County/Kootenai County line.
Investigators say on the evening of October 22, a bull moose was shot and left to waste along a forest service road below Bernard Peak. The moose was killed and covered with logs to conceal it from view on the open hillside.
A witness spoke to the suspect without knowing he had killed a moose. The Department of Fish and Game says the witness gave them a description of the suspect and the car he was driving, and they asked the public for help in finding the suspect.
On Thursday, Fish and Game said the suspect had been found and charges were filed with the Kootenai County Prosecutor's Office.
The suspect has not been identified.
