I’ve done my last few bucks. It takes about a week with the simmering/de-greasing and whitening. They come out pretty good.
- skin and flesh.- simmer with dawn/borax powder mixture.- remove all cooked muscle/brain and other materials.- de-grease with dawn changing water every day for three days.- apply volume 40 whitening paste with paint brush. Do not get any on antler bases.- let dry. Then brush a light coat of Elmer’s glue over the entire skull. Helps with the whitening and keeps all of the fragile areas together.
