Lewis County - Beaver trapping - anyone interested?
« on: November 09, 2018, 01:03:07 PM »
My father in law has property with a creek splitting his acreage. Beavers have atleast 3 large dams on the small creek and he’s looking for someone to take as many off the place as they can. It’s easy access, would be looking for someone to start after extended buck is over as a few folks have permission to hunt the ground. But if anyone has interest, please message me. Property is close to Napavine.

Thanks

I would be interested, but have not even taken the class yet.
If you get someone, I would like to learn how with my daughter.

Is a permit still required to trap beaver? Several years ago I had to have a nuisance trapper take out several beaver on my place but had to get a permit from wdfw. There is a guy who lives in Adna and another one in Silver Creek that are nuisance animal trappers.

I have not passed the class yet, but think permit is needed only if nuisance/out of season, or doing it for compensation (as in removal service) and not just for fur...
I think that if it is during season, only thing you need is trappers license and permission from landowner.
But I am so new, I have not started yet...
Surprised Humptulips has not chimed in yet, he would know.

Permit is only needed if you are using bodygripping traps.
I'm sure Adam Stowell would be interested in trapping them. He lives in Napavine. PM me if you want his phone number.
