I got a bunch of those crow parts a few months ago. They sound pretty good but I am still trying to find a good sounding barrel and the appropriate lenth. The elk parts work great too.

3 inch walnut barrel 5/8 bore. i have a reamer to make the crow call fit right. when they are put in right they sound great. the reed i use and thing's i do to it make them raspy. on a openreed thickness of mylar wider narrow. lot's of thing's to make call's Raspy. one thing to do is flick the closed reed up lightly with your thumb. will lift reed a bit. also freeze less. i'll be using osage to. Rick

Cupping one's hands around the front of a call will increase raspiness.  This is due to sound echoing (bouncing) back into the call and creating interference.
Live all you can: It’s a mistake not to.
