Thanks guys I am still stoked.... I have killed allot of elk but this was a very rewarding experience.... kind of like finally seeing the light at the end if the tunnel.... now I want to go to Idaho and harvest younger more tender elk lol

Nice bull, but anyone else look at that picture and wish you could kill a bull in a spot like that.  Mine all seem to die in the nasty holes :tung:

This picture was taken after the bull was packed up out of the hole to the top of the ridge and we just happened to get there at sunset and still have over and hour to go down hill.... I assure you this bull was not in a farmers field close to the road..we did not even pack bone put

But for the record I did find and kill him on a bench that he had fed up out of a draw on at 740 yards ave he did expire I a nice place in the junipers

Thanks I get it...with today’s rifles and scopes if you spend a little time loading and working with your rifle it’s amazing what you can do benched up in the prone with a back pack under the rear stock and light wind... I would shot to 1 k yards in the right environment with no regret with my set up... but would rather shoot at 300 lol
