Tribute Hunting Video For Caly (RIP)
« on: November 13, 2018, 08:40:59 AM »
Since I have been gone from HW I suffered a huge loss. On March 22nd 2018 my dog Caly was hit and killed in front of my house. We had just bought the home and we had not yet been able to complete the fence. My kids let her out to feed her and in a very brief moment of negligence they forgot about her and she ran into the road and was killed by some A-Hole that didn't even have the decency to stop. I was in my bedroom talking with my dad and I heard her get hit. My wife came into the house screaming and my whole world fell apart. As a carried her lifeless body across the street cars were zooming by me as if they could not see all the blood and me holding my dead dog. It was the hardest day of my adult life and a feeling of loss of which I have never know the equal. She was honestly the best dog I could have ever wanted and I think about her every day.

My brother put together this film about a hunt we went on in Montana. This was the last trip we took to Montana with Caly and it was a special one for sure. In the video you can see her complete a very long retrieve on a cripple my brother shot. This was her normal and I am not afraid to admit that cried when I watched this video. I miss my girl.

This is a hunting video and worth a watch. It shows my girl in action!

Sorry to hear about your loss, it is bad enough when know it is their time, but situations like this are even worse.

Thanks fellas. This is my first season without her since 2010 and it's just not the same. Almost hard to even want to go out. Watching a good dog is what really makes the hunt for me and she was really something special to watch.

It's always difficult losing a dog but particularly when it's before their time. Sorry for your loss. The video was great, thanks for sharing.
