It never appeared from the brush.  I don’t know.  I’m sure there was the way they acted.  I’m guessing bigger buck or predator.  They cared about it, not me.

I like it.  Nice bucks.

Have you ever tried to rattle in a Muley?  I read in a college level Mule Deer biology book that both does and bucks will come looking to watch the fight.

Hot dang, Bone.  Always the best stuff.  I am getting excited for getting over to Idaho tomorrow afternoon!  Hopefully I can replicate your kind of success with the antlers...

As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Rattled one in, but didn't get a shot! I had to leave on a work trip for the entire Thanksgiving week, so will not have much time left on the clock when I return!

It happens.  I’ve had multiple misses in years past of absolute monsters.  Three will haunt me forever.

I Gave it a shot one time. First time ever rattling.
Went to a spot that I know holds Deer. found a large log laying down that I could lean up against. Waited 20+ min then set in for My firsts rattle. I used a Primos rattle bag and the Can. Went like this.
can can, wait 5 min, rattle (med to light) for 2min,  wait 5 to 10 min ,rattle (med) for 2min, wait for 5 min, Rattled again (went crazy with it) simulate all out war between two bucks.
waited 15 min then needed to walk around.  :bdid: walked 30 yards and a Deer (maybe a buck?) bolted into the woods right in front of Me.  :bash: He was down wind also. all I saw was it's rear end bounce twice and then disappear into the reprod. I went in 5 feet and realized there was zero chance for anything happening in there. I am going to call it a success and will try again once or twice next year.
I would appreciate any input.
