Bent limb
« on: November 17, 2018, 12:10:43 PM »
I am trying to get in to hunting with a recurve so I bought a used bow.I got Friday from an online company.I strung it today with my stringer and when I let down you can feel and hear the string return to the notch in the bottom limb.Iam going to call the company Monday for now I was wondering what my options are?(I know the online buying wasn't the best idea) Thanks

Is it an older bow?
You can (sometimes) straighten limb twist with a hair dryer and gentle pressure.
However if you feel and hear it clicking into place it seems like a major flaw, would ask for refund or exchange.

The limb says 8-16.Maybe that's why someone got rid of it.I wouldn't pass on something that was not right with out saying so.

Pics? Google recurve limb twist it happens and can be fixed if not to bad using warm water and a simple twist in the other direction... black widow use to have some good videos on it..another good avenue is to call raptor archery in hood river. Ted Fry is the owner and a nice guy full of knowledge..
