Big weather coming on T Day.  White Friday might be even better than Black Friday in my book.

Headed out to my spot this afternoon to camp for the week. I let the opening day/TG weekend crowd get the easy ones.  :tung:

A coworker from yakima sent me a text message of his buck from Sunday. 5x7 with 25” spread grossed 183 at Taxidermist today. No permission to post. But it is a hog! Tons of mass.

Waited for the rain to let up this morn b4 i got out at 9a.m. Gave me a chance to read a few more pages Of Men and Mountains.

Put my plan in action an snuck up to 20yds on what turned out to be a spike buck with no legal friends. I was happy about getting close.

Later i saw a small  3x3 chasing a couple of does. I guessed his escape route perfect but was about 2 minutes late getting in position.

Afternoon was spent wasting my time trying to get close to a doe. Tired an spent and figuring the area was blown out i made a b line for my truck 3 miles away. Fatigued,  l screwed up and could have gotten a doe 50yds from the road. I was tired, my senses shot...sigh.

Overall, i did some things right. Try again tomorrow.  Good luck to the others out there trying.  :hello:
