I didn’t know people used dogs for coyotes.? My first thought is was there ever a tradition/hunters who regular used that method in this state?

What breed are they? greyhounds, roach backed confirmation and deep chests make for fast and endurance. One dog looked like it had some saluki in it , also a sight hound. I've got a coworker who is from Kansas he said they used to have a great time chasing coyotes with dogs.
It was legal in 2008 but not by 2010. I'll try to narrow it down further.2008: Coyote: Statewide, open year round. If hounds are used, season is: Sept. , 2008 - Mar. 15, 2009 (Except year round with hounds in Adams, Benton, Franklin, & Grant counties) .
A few years back they deemed it (socially unacceptable). What ever the heck that means. I used to have a Catahoula Cur mix that i used as a decoy dog and it broke my heart when I had to turn him into a lap dog. I have a purebred Catahoula female now and I sure wish I could put her to work, They make a great decoy dog.I can understand using them as a chase dog, BUT a decoy dog has nothing to do with them harming a coyote . Its more Washington state B.S. It pisses me off that i cannot take the dog calling with me as I can no longer hear rattle snakes.Maybe I could just say she is a service dog

WDFW decided it wasn't socially acceptable. There was discussion about it on this message board. I'll see if a search will find those old threads.
The reason i am for it is because their are a lot of illegal hound hunters out their and believe me, i have run across a few while out in the woods, and when i ask them what they would be hunting with hounds in Washington, it never fails i always get COYOTES.
