Best Vest for a Retriever

I was wondering what what kind of vest for a retriever everyone recommends. Been looking at a lot of them and reading reviews and some sites say one is great and another says rips instantly. What do you use for your dog and would you recommend it? (Dog is water and field retrieving)

I’ve got the Avery max 5 boat vest. It’s been good. The handles for grappling the dog are very hands at times.

It’s the only one I’ve had, and there may be a better one out there, but it serves my purpose and I would buy another. Gun dog supply on line.

I have had a few Cabelas ones, I basically buy whatever is on sale.  They all require a bit of fitting, our dog seemed to be very non standard sized.  With a sewing machine, scissors and patience, you can get a perfect fit and repair anything that happens in the field.

Thanks for the feedback. I was looking at the avery at a local store here but seems like every vest has a mixed bag of reviews for durability and protection. Good to know what is working for you. Thank you.
