Hilltop123, are you loading these to the book OAL of 2.800 or a bit longer?  Seating depth will affect velocity.  QL shows 2680fps with your load specs at book OAL of 2.800 so you really aren't that far off.

If you are looking for better velocity RL26 will be the best powder to use, especially with the heavy bullets.

rl 17 was super temp sensitive for me.....I won't use it.  I ended up using H4350 pushing 140 grain accubonds out of my savage stealth and am getting 2830 fps.  (I think....I will double check tomorrow with my books).

Might also add that accuracy trumps velocity 100% of the time in my books.

I too found re17 to be way temp sensitive. Be carful with loads worked up in cold weather cause when it warms up you may be over preasure

My experience with RL17 has been it's one of those quirky powders that gives you little to no warning before you're into over pressure.  It'll go along and give no pressure sign/s then you make one tiny little increase and all of a sudden you've got all kinds of pressure. 

I'm not a huge fan of Alliant powders but I am a big fan of RL26 and it is quickly becoming "the" powder of choice in a lot of different medium-medium large size cases, with the 6.5 Creed and 260Rem being a couple of them it works very well in.  Another powder you could give a try is RL16, it's one of Alliant's new temp stable powders.  I'm using RL16 in my 20-250 and it's working very well in that.  You can look on Alliant Powder website to get a starting point.  They don't list a load for the 143 ELD-X but they do for the 142 SMK so you should be safe using that load as a starting point by dropping a grain or two and working up from there.

I am getting 2875 fps with a 140 Berger VLD using RL16 and Lapua brass out of a 26 inch barrel.
RL16 might be worth a try. the charge weight is about a half grain below max (Alliant website) for 140 bullets.
