Meateater cookbook

Has anyone got one yet?

I'm hoping it's under the tree for me. If not I'm going to buy it.

Likewise. I doubt it will be under our tree since its not on my wishlist to family so I will most likely end up buying it. Heard nothing but good things

Yep, received it on the release date. It's pretty darn nice.

I put it on my Christmas list...

I pre ordered and received it last week. The wife and I shot a few mallards after work Monday and put it to use! Made grilled duck nachos that were pretty damn good. Planning on trying out a few more of his recipes this weekend. It’s definitely a solid addition to my Hank Shaw books.

Made Rinella’s chili on Saturday for the hawks game. Well the hawks lost but I won with the chili! It was a tad spicy for two of my guests but they still finished their bowl and got some great reviews from others.

Did you follow the recipe exact???
I’m going to make a triple batch this weekend and I was thinking about deleting the oregano and halfing the peppers in the adobe

I'll have to double check when I get home tonight and I'll get back to you.

If you don't like it hot, then for sure cut the chilies in half.

I was buying ingredients last night. My wife " Those peppers look spicy"  Me "Cmon babe its Chili... It supposed to be spicy"

I changed the tomatoes to sliced in a puree because I have a brand that I love.

I am out of any ground venison but I do have a ton of bulk venison meatballs. I made like 50# of meatballs out of one of our deer this year and then packaged it in 2# packages bulk. I am thinking about using that. Sooooo..... I'm completely off the rails on this one.
