Some pretty fun Blacktail videos
« on: December 08, 2018, 11:06:08 AM »
Saturday morning - found some new/entertaining hunting vids while perusing Youtube.  The production quality BT hunting videos continues to improve every year:

I often wonder how people on the trail would act if I carried a deer out whole like the second video.

I was a little in awe watching him hump that thing up that slope.  Reminded me of when I was just a young buck and could power through things that I wouldn't even consider doing today.  I had a good laugh anyways.

You would need to go to Western OR to do that though. Deer down there average a lot less weight that the BT deer here in western WA.
I lived there for many years and even worked in a slaughterhouse for a while. For some reason, the BT deer here are quite a bit larger.
It's easier to put one on your shoulders down there. Not so much here.

Man I'm glad to here this. I could have done it with my brothers spike this year, but no way I could have done it with my forkie. I was really thinking a lot less of myself after watching that.

Glad you enjoyed them.  I did too.
I don't think OR is a hunter orange state.  I'm pretty sure he tagged tagged the deer - probably inside the mouth where we couldn't see it. :chuckle:
