That's kind of a bummer.  Wonder why the hunter didn't call it in?

Could have recognized the bear and didn’t want the negative press.  May not have wanted to mess with it...may not have had a tag. ??? Forgot it while packing up. Decided not to take for weight purposes....

Long store about one bear.  I had to stop at paragraph 2.  Must be short on things to write about.

:cue:  Should we call him Cue instead. LOL

im telling you, you want entertainment, read the comments on socail media.  Holy smokes.   I think most of them only read half of the article as well, because most of them didnt get to the part where the meat and hide were taken.

That's actually an informative article compared the the garbage that KOMO posted on their FB page. There's literally people saying that they hope the hunter's children get shot as a form of cosmic karma. Unreal. Summary - Bear is shot, meat is taken, collar is left behind and not called in (not legally required). No crime, non-story. The mental state of so many in Washington amazes me.

If I had shot that bear I would of gotten it mounted with a collar and a name tag. The hunter should be proud, I’m actually surprised it took 2 years before the bears death.

Well they certainly tried their best to humanize the bear and demonize the hunter in this article. Even their admission that everything the hunter did was legal seemed begrudging.  It's so frustrating the way they try to spin everything. And I refuse to read the comments on stories like this...my blood pressure can't take it  :chuckle:

I’m genuinely happy that they got to give the bear a new chance to be a bear and I’m sure the bear appreciated that. But it was still a wild animal and subject to the rules of nature. Congrats to the hunter and I don’t blame them one bit for not calling the collar in
