I can’t seem to post my other pictures on the post but this is my Southeastern Ibex and I hunted Ronda as well which I was successful on that hunt also. I started on my hunt flying into Malaga where I was picked up then drove west about an hour to my hotel. We woke up and had breakfast with the wildlife ranger and his assistant hunting in a new area. We drove up to a high point to glass the hillside and right away there was a group of ibex 100 yards away so we hiked up on the gravel road then spotted another group with a representative Ronda Ibex on the slope of the hillside so we got above them and watched them for a while to predict their next move. We thought they would across to the other side of the valley so we set up to find out they bedded down so we dropped down lower to look into the valley and the Ibex scattered which the Billie trailed I squared up on the rifle and shot at 200 meters and drilled him we tracked him for a while in which he was done.
We drove to the hotel in the area where we were hunting Southeastern Ibex and met with my client that was also successful then next morning went out to hunt Southeastern ibex. The weather wasn’t great it was very foggy which we couldn’t see very far in front of us we saw some ibex but nothing worth Shooting. The next day we went to the highest point and hiked through beautiful mountain terrain seeing small males and female ibex. Then all of a sudden there were 6 shooter ibex with one pushing 70 cm which is a big Billie we set up on the rocks but turned out he moved underneath us so we couldn’t see him. We hiked a bit more where we seen a couple ibex and there was a representative ibex with a smaller Billie I took a 350 yard shot downhill and hit a little high the next shot was in the neck finishing him off.
The logistics was planned perfectly the meals were fancy and fantastic with alcohol included. The hotels are top notch in every location and I stayed in 3 different hotels in 4 days. It was such a blast I can’t wait to go again for Beceite and Gredos ibex by Madrid and Barcelona areas. I wished I could post pictures but it won’t post them highly recommended hunt.

Bring light gear that is for cold weather because it can get chilly in the mountains and don’t do what i did and not worked out before the hunt no brainer but I regretted not being in better shape. Also practice shooting long distance also will make your hunt easier I used the guides gun so he didn’t want me to shoot passed a certain distance which he knows his gun so it’s understandable

Very cool. I’m excited to do my own Spanish ibex hunt this March. Gredos and southeastern are on my list. I’m hooked up with a quality local outfit that’s been in business for quite a few years. There is one permit still available if anyone it’s interested in tagging along. Just message me for details on going.
