That is a nice one.  They sure are fun to catch.  Its amazing how much leverage they have when they turn into the current with that hump.

We used to stock pile the female pinks for smoking and dog food up North. I'd start feeding our lab, Shuksan, pinks around the middle of August and not stop until water fowl season was done. Her coat was so oily it was incredible. We'd just throw a couple in the oven, bone them when cool, then add to her dog food all week.
My dogs here have found out that fishing season is a plus for them as soon as the smoker starts up. Scraps mean goodies to them. They both become setters and pointers.

i know that adam stewart kid.  >:( he tried to pick a fight with me a couple years back at school and i couldnt beat the s**t outta him cuz it was still wrestling season and id get kicked off the team. kids an ass. we were in forestry class counting salmon and all he would do is smoke pot and kill the spawning salmon with a machete as they swam by.
showed us his rig for snagging in the stilli. idiot. if i ever see him on the river im calling the poaching hotline.
