So it's just a tipped game king?

Yep.

Nope ,They took a match king and turned it into a hollow point hunting bullet , and calling it a new gameking.
That's why I was getting best accuracy loading them to match king bullets OAL.  That's also how they got such a high BC.You just use match king reloading data when loading .That's what I did anyway.

It is a tipped game king. It is not the same construction as the match kings.
You are correct that they didn’t just throw a plastic tip in an existing game king.
Slicker shaped game king with a plastic tip.

They are probably a lot like nosler ballistic tips in performance.
I personally think they missed the boat with their weight offerings to be marketing a “long range” hunting bullet.
I posted the link so you can click on it and read for yourself.
From the link I put down and Sierra website

. Sierra re-engineered their legendary MatchKing bullet into a hollow point design for quick expansion and fitted it with a transparent green tip for ballistic uniformity.

I know you guys don't like to be wrong but at least own up to it.

The box also says tipped game king on it.  :dunno:

But whatever if you want I’ll say I’m wrong... I’ll also say with the calibers and weights they offer on these they won’t be on my loading bench. Also they aren’t anything new or special.

I will admit I'm wrong too ,if a gameking and a match king was too have a baby you end up with a game changer bullet.

Savage they shot fine, the Mossberg they where keyhole on target would not stabilize.I did go with some different bullets for hunting season ,for my wife and sons rifle .

So it sounds like something new that they slapped with an old name. That's confusing marketing.
I've always liked Sierra game kings so guess I'll give the new "game kings" a chance.

No disrespect to anyone,I mean that. But it doesn't matter to me at all what Sierra is even saying about their new bullet. It is so different than any other bullet they have made so far,it may be made of the same metal but all else is different. The length, the tip,the hollow point,ETC.

If i said that the Glock was a re engineered Colt peace maker to fire in semi auto then that would be a true statement.

This new bullet by Sierra is a brand new (RE ENGINEERED) Bullet and will be of some interest to me if they get some grain in them.At least 200.

JUST MY  :twocents:
"Boss of the woods"
(this is in reference to the biggie not me).
