J-Tree
« on: March 23, 2009, 11:29:16 PM »
Well not actually a tree, but at J-Tree.
Week in Vegas working 14hr days, Only a day and a half at Joshua Tree out of the 5 I thought I would have:mad:, now another week working in L.A.
Here's something I thought "most" of you guy's might enjoy.  ;)

Sorry but it's not exactly what I want some one's child to see when wandering this site.
Do like I do send off color jokes and pictures to buddies as  a PM but warn them if they open at work.

Great pictures Elkman.  What a neat location.

In the 3rd picture, is that where you leave the camera shutter open for a long exposure and fire off your flash from different areas?  Or is there a light over on the left and then you just had a camera flash too?  These are guesses, I just want to be able to duplicate that image if I have the oppurtunity.

Thanks, :30sec exposer, 200 ISO 24mm @f8.
I painted the tree and a rocks from both sides of the camera about 6' to the sides with a Surefire flashlight, I don't have flash. Be sure to WB for incandesent light.
Painted for about 10-15 sec. of the exposer.

I like the light better when I can paint it.
Here's another shot, only downside is you gotta shoot this way on sticks if you cranking up your Fstop to get the DOF.
But at 2.8 and uping the speed, you can do handheld.

200 ISO f8 for :2 sec.

It then becomes a debate on how small the bikini can be and at what point do you then say its inappropriate. Its a no brainer if we just say no to all of them, besides we don't need the gals then posting pics of Iceman in a speedo and saying its only fair :yike:

Sorry guys, hope you understand.

Enough already. In a nutshell I would not remove those photos myself. However someone felt that they and other members were offended by them.

There were several complaints about your photos. I didn't have a problem with them myself other than I thought you could have used a better model. There were several people who were asking what exactly is acceptable. For the most part it should be anything where it doesn't create a cock fest that women get tired of reading and that kids can see at any normal beach. There was plenty of deliberation about deleting those photos before it took place. So then finally someone got tired of the debate and deleted them. I can't say I blame someone for doing something they thought was in their best judgement. Why don't you use some of your best judgement and lay off a little now? I like your photos a lot but the continuing barrage of questioning is as silly as the photos you are arguing about.  The photos of the people under the tree on the coin are pretty funny to me.
