I'm just impressed that you guys ever got to talk to anyone there.  I pull a number, wait a couple of hours until I have looked at every single item in the firearms section four times, then get hungry and leave.

They don’t do the number thing at the Yakima one, usually they just ignore you like you’re not even there until you say something to them. Honestly if they’d just put the dang tags out so I can read them then I wouldn’t even need the counter guy

I quit looking at the new guns there. You get a number and do the waiting game. I'm not into it. There are numerous guys working the counter and only a couple are actually helping someone and you still wait with you thumb up your ass.
The gun library is ten times better. They generally have a lot more gun knowledge and ask younif you would like any help or would like to see something.
But when they quit doing gun lay awaysbi dont look at guns there any more. I just pick.up powder or what ever else I might need at the time and go.
There choice of 38/357 bullets suck. Latlybthey only had laser cast lead bullets. I like FMJ bullets. I generally buy Rainier bullets in the 500 pack.

On the flip, during my time behind the counter, , I had many "Special Forces Sniper" types have me mount their scopes fore them, as they typically had no clue. Seemed everyone was a pro till it came to putting things together lol

It definitely goes both ways! :chuckle:

I've spent a significant amount of time on both sides of a gun counter and the best is when you get an "expert" on both sides and the two start babbling back and forth about how they shoot 3" groups at 1000 yards with their Tikka 308s.

Of course I've been called a liar more times than I can count when I mention some of my pistols. I mentioned the 338 SnipeTac pistol at a shop one time and was told my multiple people that a gun like that would tear my arm off and that I was full of it. They quit laughing when I brought them out to my truck and showed them the gun.
The ones that pissed me off the most were the ones you hand over a cleared/checked handgun, then they proceed to "operator" mode and sweep everyone around them! Even dry during towards the clerk! Gun gets taken out of their hands rather quickly!

I see a lot of "operator" mode.  I think it's because of too many video games.

Once in a local gun store, an "experienced" operator type dry fired towards a counter salesman..the state patrolman who was standing at the counter had to console his wife in the parking lot after she ran out crying, it scared her so much. Such are the things "counter monkeys" have to deal with at times...

WOW, somebody needed their butt kicked!
Only 2 defining forces sacrificed themselves for you:
The American Soldier and Jesus Christ. One died for your freedom, the other for your soul.

He trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.
