Quincy/Ephrata, conditions on the ground?
« on: January 09, 2019, 09:13:53 AM »
Looks like clearing weather this weekend in Grant County. Am going to hunt coyotes near Palisades and/or Quincy Lake area. Looks like the roads will be fine but I am wondering how much snow in the fields right now? Should I bring my snowshoes? Thanks in advance for your help and input.

As of this morning in Wenatchee we had about 5-6 inches and coming through Quincy last night there was a little snow on the ground. Supposed to turn to rain this afternoon and be warmer tomorrow. I bet its clear by the weekend

Drove through Quincy and stayed in Ephrata last weekend.....no snow anywhere. Very muddy from the previous snow melting, have to constantly scrape the build up off your boots.

I would expect mostly MUD unless the weather pattern breaks and I dont think it will.  (freeze up)
I think its more moisture expected

Just a dusting of ice & snow left in the Basin as of this morning. Like said above, ground will be pretty soggy this weekend. Snow should not be a factor.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

Thank you to all of you. That is exactly what I needed to know. Just peeked at the wsdot cameras also. They have one at the Quincy rest area.
