Extra $300 laying around?!
« on: January 11, 2019, 11:19:54 PM »
You can pick yourself up a dozen Easton T64 FMJs! Really cool concept but way to expensive for me! Anyone on here get to shoot these yet?

I had to use the googler to see what these are. Interesting idea.

It is an interesting idea  I will definitely  be waiting for the price tag to come down just a touch before I think about purchasing though

I'm sure there are some of us for whom their biggest aiming problems can be solved by tweaking the aerodynamics of their arrows.

For the rest of us - myself included - that's probably so far down the list of "why I'm likely to miss a shot" that you couldn't see it without binoculars.

That solves a bunch of problems I don't think I have.  It gets pretty cost prohibitive when a broken or lost arrow sets you back $30 after you fletch and tip it.  The only way that would work for me is if I could buy 6 and only use them hunting and they happen to shoot the exact same as a cheaper arrow which seems very unlikely.  Even if that were the case, I think they only offer them down to 300 spine which won't work for my long draw.

Only if they were unbendable and had a tracker beacon inside of them. But there's no way I'm shooting that arrow   in western Washington. 5 arrow quiver full with broadhead would be $200. No thanks. My arrow has never been the deciding factor in my success or failure.

You can also increase your point weight by using a heavier head or an insert and not spending $300 on arrows.  This is coming from a guy that spends too much money on arrows but if they are really $300 thats a joke.

Straight from their website "New T64 FMJ combines maximum penetration with long-range accuracy."  Long range accuracy, really?

Just remember these are going to be the only arrows you’ll be able to kill an elk with!

In the video they posted from the ATA show the rep listed the price at 199.99 per box of 6, absolutely ridiculous. But with Hoyt selling bare bows for $1700, I’m sure there’s plenty of guys that will bite....
