Winter Rendezvous & Spring Business Meeting
« on: January 14, 2019, 08:18:47 PM »

Hi Guys,
I just caught a small mistake in the Fur Shed.   :bash:  The Spring Business Meeting and Winter Rendezvous is on the 30th of March.
I have it on page 2 but didn't put it on page 23 of the Agenda.
So everyone keep in mind that the Winter Rendezvous, Fur Sale & Spring Business Meeting is on "March 30, 2019"
See you all there
JC

We might need to do a little polling to make sure we have enough bobcat and otter tags at the Rendezvous. I'm bringing at least six of each. From just this forum it looks like there are several guys who are catching many more cats than I am.  How many of them might be bringing cats and otters to the rendezvous?

If we run out of tags it will cost me.  I will have to drive 142 miles to Yakima or beg WDFW Region Four for an appointment (about two weeks later) with the biologist, and get my cats tagged in the parking lot as if I were selling illegal drugs.  Don't let me get started...

We should have three of our guys from WSTA there that can tag cats and otters.  Maybe with a little luck they will all have enough tags.
I talked with Steve a couple of weeks ago and the department gave him a real small pile of each tag and he had to get back to them and get more.
I would say that we should have enough between the three guys.  Cross your fingers

I might be bias here but it is a very informatial magazine.
There is only three (3) trapper associations in the west that produce magazines for their members.
Washington, Idaho and Montana and I know the Publisher  :chuckle: of two of them  :chuckle:

So for all of you trappers out there, join your state trappers association, they are fighting for you.
Join WSTA you will get a magazine that is well worth your membership.

See you all at the winter rendezvous, stop by and introduce yourself to me.

Working a lot over time. I did  some trapping in December and a little bit of January. Then some hippies smash $500 with my traps so I pulled my traps. So I pulled all my traps and then a couple week later scouted and found a new spot and place to trap for 2 weeks and caught up one cat. Ended up with about 5 muskrats 4 beavers 1 bobcat  4 raccoons and opossum. Plus lots of WCO animal. So I haven't been really much on here lately I just happened to get a message for a spring bear hunt from a few people. But the cool thing is me and my buddy and I got drawn for Kelly Hill spring bear hunt for the third time for me and first time for him

I spoke with Steve and there should not be any shortage of tags.
Also, it says on the schedule that set up starts at 7:00 but as it turns out we cannot get in the gates until 8:00. There is really no parking outside the gates so it would be best if people did not show up until 8:00.
