FOC has jumped front and center stage again, after being kind of lost in all the speed hype and fancy new stuff that gets marketed each new year.  So a bunch of us checked our set ups and came away disappointed.  As a group, we had been running from 8 to 10% and for sure that is minimal.  If you run in this range, if you havent had trouble you will.

Everyone is addressing the issue differently, heavier points, weighted inserts, different shafts, etc.  I think with Easton getting ready to release a tapered shaft, youre going to see other mfgs get on board as this is truly the most efficient way to gain FOC.  I have had Arrow Dynamic Nitro Stingers for 18 to 20 years now, and have shot them for hunting and competing over the years.  Now, I am back to running them with 125 points in the renewed interest and focus on FOC.  My former hunting arrow was 8.3 % and now Im at 14% with the Nitro Stingers.

Yes I noticed deficiencies at 8%.......I know a couple of you guys said FOC doesnt matter, but my money is on the folks at Easton and Arrow Dynamics in that FOC is hugely important, especially to the hunter.
