Ace, I fished halibut out of La Push with Randy Lato (Allways Fishing) this past June. Took about 1 1/2 hours to go approx. 30 miles to an open Area 2 and we fished in about 550 feet of water. Several party boats from Westport showed up later in the morning after an estimated 4 hour run. Randy's boat can take 5 fishermen. We all limited on halibut (largest was 87 lbs.) and lingcod. Fishing on these smaller boats is a nice experience...….I checked prices and they were all about the same.

Contact Kerry Allen with Offshore Northwest.  Two boats this season - a 28ft Parker with twin 300's and a new 35ft Coldwater with twin 300's Yamahas was added last month.    It is a large walk around - so all clients fish at the same time.  Kerry's number is - 253-380-9973.  Starting to book pretty good.  Not sure if Halibut - out of LaPush is full yet, but check with Kerry.  Tuna out of Westport is definitely not full yet.  It is the first year for this boat to be added to Offshore Northwest, serious sweet ride.   All new rods and reels - Trasher Rods and Siegler Reels.

If you need more information give Kerry a call.

I would recommend StarFire or Freedom, my two favorite boats, but we lost both of them out of the Westport fleet this off season. Heartbreaking losses. I have had a successful halibut trip on the Ranger, there was no chance of us all not getting a halibut. I am pretty confident that what ever boat you go out on during halibut season, the boat will limit. If I fish this year, Ill probably target fishing on the Hula Girl, Slammer, Sea Angel or Tequila too. Any charter boat in the fleet will put you on the fish.

No, not Pat's boat...  Pats was older 33ft model with twin 250's, utilized up in AK as a charter and then ran it here for several years...  This is one year old NEW Coldwater..

Got it. Yes I was one of  the captains that ran it in AK for several years. Loved that boat.
