im headed back to my bosses property to try and eliminate his bear problem as soon as it opens up.

Moron who wrote the article, or someone at the fish and game who gave the info that this would be "the first Karelian bear dog used for enforcement" in the United States should maybe do a little fact checking.  Dave Wedum of the Montana Fish and Game who trapped and released more Montana grizzlies than anyone else while working for the F&G, was a next door neighbor of mine and he had Karelian bear dogs back in the early 80's.

 I thank them for sending him right direction to our home!  :)  No bears have ever came after I heard about it and quickly put TrailCamera out.   BEAR  Look VERY familiare to me in Seattle paper  as  the bear in my TrailCamera  :rolleyes: I am hoping to see him again with in few weeks!  :drool:

gotta love this post. where is my free bear tag?

Not entirely true. The state also gave hunters a free bear tag with the license packages and the option for a second tag for $5. Before the ban on baiting you had to by a tag and most hunters did not. With the free tag if they saw a bear while out hunting they now shoot them. The bears in the suburbs are there because the people in the suburbs do not let people hunt them and there is an ample food supply and the ban on hounds has not chnaged that at all.
